Settle up NYCatanimals! Excited to host the fourth tournament of the season, with a special twist: DOUBLE HEADER EVENT.

Saturday 6/28 will be a global, livestreamed event celebrating the 30th anniversary of the game with the rebrand launch of Catan the Big Game as CATAN -Connect the World. We will be hosting the NYC end of the event. See below…

To celebrate CATAN's 30th anniversary, we are hosting the global event CATAN – Connect The World on June 28, 2025 – and you can be part of it!

On this special day, the new event game CATAN – Connect will be played in over 35 countries worldwide. Local events will be organized in each of these countries, bringing CATAN fans together to experience the game and the unique CATAN spirit up close. CATAN – Connect offers a unique gaming experience, elevating the excitement and joy that have made CATAN a worldwide favorite.

Players should register for this free event on nycatan.com as seats are limited. Please "drop" from the event in advance if you are unable to attend. ***ANYONE WHO PLAYS IN THE EVENT ON SATURDAY GETS FREE ENTRY INTO THE QUALIFIER SUNDAY. Catan - CONNECT is fast paced (~30 min) as it is run with a turn timer and dice roller. We will have a short break between games and play multiple times!

THEN ON SUNDAY, WE HOST OUR SUMMER National Qualifer as A ONE DAY EVENT! FREE ENTRY IF YOU PLAY IN THE CONNECT EVENT.

• Our next tournament is our summer qualifier and will be June 29th at our usual location of Brooklyn Game Labs. Sunday prelims 9:30am-4pm (approx.) semifinals top 16 players OVERALL and finals Sunday 5-9pm.

• Registration open!

• Even though we will not have a waiver, please be cognizant of CDC Covid-19 Protocols and restrictions. Those day-of questions to ask yourself before coming are below:

  1. Have you been vaccinated for COVID-19 (provide proof via photo or physical vaccination card, date of vaccination will be recorded and if 14+ days out after the last dose, participants can take off their masks indoors anytime they are socially distant (6+ feet) away from a participant.

  1. In the past 10 days, have you had a new cough, fever, shortness of breath, or loss of taste or smell?

  2. In the past 10 days, have you had a positive Covid test result?

  3. To the best of your knowledge, in the past 14 days have you been in close contact with anyone who has tested positive for Covid?
